    • Gertrude E. Cable Aicholtz Green - August 2, 1888 - December 10, 1953. Daughter of Edgar Ellsworth and Angie E. Dees Cable. Wife of Leon C. Aicholtz (married December 25, 1907 in Constantia, Oswego County, New York; divorced) & Ernest L. Green. [Notes: Leon Aicholtz was born August 23, 1886 in Amboy Center, Oswego County, New York, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Aicholtz. Leon died January 29, 1971 in Parish, New York and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Camden, New York.] [Notes: Ernest Green was born March 13, 1889 in Williamstown, New York, a son of Asa Nathaniel and Lucy Anna Osborne Green. Ernest was first married to Mabel E. Tanner, who died October 21, 1918 at the age of 26 years. Ernest died September 23, 1969 in Oneida County, New York, and is buried with Mable in Fairview Cemetery at Williamstown, New York.]
      Newspaper Obituary - Saturday Evening, December 12, 1953 Daily Sentinel - Rome, New York - Mrs. Green, Sister of Romans, Dies - Mrs. Gertrude Green, 65, wife of Ernest L. Green, Richland, died in House of Good Samaritan, Watertown, Thursday night following an illness of several months. A brother, Glenn Cable, 806½ Floyd Avenue, and a sister, Mrs. Carl E. Whitman, 127 Riverview Parkway North, are among the survivors. Another sister, Miss Iva Cable, Rome, has been residing in Richland during Mrs. Green’s illness. Mrs. Green had been hospitalized since July. Born in Orwell, August 2, 1888, daughter of Edgar and Angie Dees Cable, she had made her home in the vicinity of Rome and Williamstown most of her life, moving to Richland about five years ago. Her husband is employed by the New York Central Railroad there. She was a member of the Pulaski Grange, Richland Fire Department Auxiliary and Orwell Union Church. Other survivors besides her husband and the Romans are three daughters, Mrs. Sneed Johnson, Long Beach, California; Mrs. Lee Staunton, Bayside, Long Island and Mrs. Joseph Glatt, Utica; a step-daughter, Mrs. Vivian Green in Alaska; two step-sons, Clyde Green, Jordan and Charles Green, Central Square; another sister, Miss Ruth Comes, Houston, Texas; another brother, Bradford Cable, Williamstown, two grandsons, two step-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home in Pulaski. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Orwell with Rev. Wesley Baker, pastor of the Richland and Orwell church's, officiating.
