      G. Stanley Bennett, 87, Route 13, Pineville, died Friday evening at the Dugway home of a grandson.

      Mr. Bennett owned and operated a dairy farm for 60 years, retiring in 1990. He also was a cattle dealer for many years and was a life resident of Pineville.

      He was a member of Altmar Riverside United Methodist Church, of the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Board of Education for 11 years and was a former member of Albion Grange and the Agway Committee.

      Born April 21, 1912, in Pineville, a son of George W. and Maude Clark Bennett, he graduated in 1931 from Pulaski Academy High School.

      He married Marion Craig on Aug. 8, 1940. She died March 10, 1996.

      Surviving are two sons, Edward S., Parish, and Willis F., Moravia; a daughter, Joyce B. Ezzo, Canastota; 12 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.

      A sister, Edith Lloyd, died in 1991.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Catherine Salisbury, pastor of Riverside United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.

      Calling hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
