Margaret Schwarz, 90, of Center Twp., passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in her home. She was born on June 27, 1924, the daughter of the late David and Anna Mae Hodge. She was a member of the Church of the Redeemed, Center Twp., and was a charter member for the Center Twp. VFW.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob C. Schwarz; a granddaughter, Sandra Schwarz; a grandson, Kenneth Richard Hosch; five siblings, Anna Mae Core, Clyde Hodge, John Hodge, Dave Hodge and Gwen Hodge, and a son-in-law, Kenneth Hosch.
She is survived by her four children: Jacob and Sondra Schwarz, Center Twp.; Irene Hosch, Center Twp.; Richard and Karen Schwarz, Ohioville, and Ronald and Cindy Hodge, Center Twp.; 14 grandchildren: Jacob Schwarz, Jr., Regina Stala, Kirk Moore, Jennifer Martin, Gerald Hosch, Margaret Gould, Frances Siters, Christine Nolan, Richelle Parish, Amy Welch, Mike Welch, Ralph Welch, Jamie Hodge and Tim Hodge; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Robert Hodge and Ruth Smitley, both of Jefferson Hills; Mary Jane McCorkle, Elizabeth Twp., and Alice Bucy, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF ALIQUIPPA, www.huntsmanfuneralhomes.com, 2345 Mill St., where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Dave Grove.
Private interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa.
