- Patricia Ann LaFave, age 80, of Hilton Head Island, SC, a former resident of Pulaski, passed away Saturday in Hilton Head. Patricia was born April 9, 1938 in Mohawk, NY, the daughter of Andrew R. and Mildred Zoller Booth. She graduated from Mohawk Central School in 1956, and she worked at General Electric in Utica until she met the love of her life. Patricia married John T. LaFave on August 27, 1960. An unfailing wife and a dedicated mother, she devoted her life to her husband and family. Once the children were grown she worked at Pulaski Central School District for 20 years. In retirement, Pat and John enjoyed many happy years in their Hilton Head Island home that Pat designed.
Surviving are her husband, John, four children, Tom (Christine) LaFave of Cazenovia, Susan LaFave of Hilton Head, SC, Shannan (Mike) Leeper of Mansfield, OH, and Christopher LaFave of Boca Raton, Florida, eight grandchildren, Andrew (Brittany) LaFave, Emily LaFave, Grace LaFave, Nicholas Leeper, Kathleen Leeper, Mary Leeper, Harrison LaFave, Eleanor LaFave and one great grandson, Jack LaFave. Patricia was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Benjamin Z. Booth.
Calling hours will be held Monday, June 11th, 11:00 to 12:30 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski followed by a memorial service held 1 p.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 23 Niagara Street, Pulaski with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. All are invited to a reception that will be held at the Pulaski Fire Department immediately following the burial.
