      George A. Trumble, 64, of Mexico Point Road, RD 1 Mexico, died this morning (Aug. 11) at home after a long illness.

      Born in Altmar, Mr. Trumble lived in the Mexico Point area for the past 12 years. He had been an employee of the Oswego County Highway Department.

      He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

      Surviving are his wife, Annetta Snow Trumble; two sons, Michael of Altmar and Grover of Williamstown; seven daughters, Helen Sheridan of Mexico, Georgia Hammond of Oswego, Cleo Weaver of Lacona, Constance Mascaremus of Mexico, Jacqueline Allen of Williamstown, and Yvonne Allen and Lillian Stowell, both of Altmar; a stepson, Richard Wood of Fulton; six stepdaughters, Margaret Monteith of Pulaski, Linda Nichols of Coates, N.C., Patricia Arnold and Connie Abbott, both of Fulton, and Deborah Dunn and Jennie Harrington, both of Pulaski; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two bothers, Grover of Port Byron and Kenneth of California; two sisters, Roxanne Britton of Williamstown and Evelyn Alcock of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

      Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, the Rev. William O'Neil officiating. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery.

      Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today (Aug. 11) and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 5305 Washington Ave., Mexico.
