    • Rome Daily Sentinel, Monday Evening, Nov. 15, 1971 - Mrs. Barker Succumbs - Mrs. George Barker, 80, Orwell, a former correspondent for the Rome Sentinel and the Camden Advance Journal, died Friday at the Evergreen Nursing Home, Pulaski. The former Maude R. Look, she was born in Amboy, daughter of William and Celia Brown Look whose ancestors were early settlers of this area coming here from England in the 1600's. Mrs. Barker was educated in Amboy and Williamstown schools and the Pulaski Teachers Training School She was first married to Lewis Archibee, Nov. 25, 1911, who died April 2, 1955. The couple owned and operated a farm on the Redfield-Williamstown Road. She was later married to Mr. Barker, who survives her. Mrs. Barker was a member of the Congregational Church of Redfield, the Redfield Grange, Redfield Rebekah Lodge and the Ontario Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution of Pulaski. She leaves her husband, George, three sons, Robert Archibee, McConnellsville; Howard Archibee, East Florence, and Vernon Archibee, Redfield; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Funeral services where held... at, Pulaski, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
