Jessie A Sage was the daughter of John W Sage and Mary Eveline Coon.
She lived all of her life in Sandy Creek. She married Fayette M Salisbury about 1876.
They had one daughter: Anna B 1886

      MRS. JESSIE SALISBURY

As the migratory birds are impelled by an instinct of their nature to exchange a land of gloom and chill for a clime of sunshine and warmth, so the Christian pilgrim in the hour of death, feels the impulse of the life beyond, and his soul is filled with sweet solicitation for that better world, where night and winter and shadows are unknown. Our friend Mrs. Jessie Salisbury spread her wings and took her flight to the land of eternal summer and calm. She is not lost, but gone before. Her pain has ceased, her trials have ended, the race has been finished, and she has reached the gladsome home prepared for there.
The departed was born in the town of Sandy Creek May 14, 1856, being the daughter of John and Mary (Coon) Sage. She was married to the late Fayette M. Salisbury Nov. 28, 1876. One child blessed their union, Mrs. M.D. Herriman, who tenderly cared for her mother during her painful illness, caused by cancer. Two sisters, Mrs. Ella Noyes, Sandy Creek and Mrs. David Clark, Orwell, and one brother, Orren Sage, Sandy Creek, survive her. She passed away at the midnight hour of Feb. 3, but like the wise virgins, her lamp was trimmed and burning, when the bridegroom came.
Her obsequies were held at the home of M.D. Harriman, Saturday afternoon, Feb. 6. Her pastor, Rev. T.T. Davies, officiating. Interment in Woodlawn cemetery. The floral tributes and the tears shed, evidenced the high regard in which she was held by those who know her. The deceased was a member of the W.R.C.
Mrs. Salisbury had lived a life of great sweetness and peace. Her devotion to Christ was manifested not in words, but in practical Christian living. She exerted a silent influence for good, by a serene, pure life that was far reaching. She made home beautiful by living a beautiful life. When the end came, she entertained no fear of death, because the life that death cannot crush throbbed in her heart.
      "One more in Heaven-
Another thought to brighten cloudy days,
      - Another theme for thankfulness and praise,
Another link on high our souls to raise to home and Heaven.
