Newspaper Article - Wednesday, May 5, 1909 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Stillwater - Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Brownell were at Altmar, last week Tuesday, to attend the funeral service of Mrs. Brownell’s brother, Charles Reese. Mr. Reese was a resident of this place a few years ago. The family have the sympathy of their friends here in their sad bereavement.

Funeral held from the home of the parents in this village Tuesday afternoon, Rev. _ Hutchins officiating. Interment at Salmon River.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 26, 1909 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - In Memoriam - Charles Reese, whose sudden death, April 25th, was noted in brief, was well known in this vicinity. He was an honest, industrious young man and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He had rented his farm in the south part of this town the past two years and had just gone back to take charge of it. He was born in Evans Mills forty years ago. He leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Reese, of Altmar, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Brownell, Altmar, Mrs. Z. T. Mattison, Seamans district, Mrs. Lewis Nichols of Fernwood, and one brother, Clarence, of Syracuse. He was a member of South Richland Grange. His funeral was held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Z. T. Mattison, April 27th, Rev. Charles Hutchins officiated. This world was full of trouble, This world was full of care, Heaven, his only resting place, We will try and meet him there.
