- Sandy Creek news., December 21, 1977 - George E. Barker. 95, RD. 1, Pulaski, formerly of Or- well, died Dec. 11, 1977, in House of the Good Samaritan in Watertown after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 10,1882, in Orwell, the son of Edward and Anelia (Pennock) Barker. He attended Orwell Schools and was married to Flprence Bushaw Dec. 5, 1925. She died Dec. 22, 1952. He was later married to Maude Archibee Jan. 14,1957. She died Nov. 12, 1971. He resided in Orwell all his marr.ied life where he owned aijd' operated the Orwell Ladder Co. which had been owned by his father. He retired in 1950. He was a member of the Orwell Union- Church, past president of Evergreen Cemetery Assoc, Orwell, member ot Welcome Lodge No. 680 IOOF. Orwell. He is survived by one step- daughter. Mrs. Lena Williams. Sandy Creek; three step-sons. Howard Archibee. Camden. Robert Archibee. Mc Connellsville, Vernon Archibee, Redfield;' 3 step granddaughters, Mrs. Oscar (Joan) Pollock of Pulaski with whom he resided the past three years, Mrs. Irene Miller of No. Lawrence, N.Y., Mrs. Shirley Winn of Georgetown, N.Y., and several step- greatgranchildren. Funeral services are being held today (Wed., Nov. 14) at 11:00 a.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Rev. Ivan Greenfield, pastor of Orwell Union Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
