      Russell M Janacek, 57 of Sandy Creek passed away at his home Wednesday June 26, 2019.

      Russ was born June 30, 1961 in Oswego to Roland and Frieda (Mead) Janacek. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1979 as an Honor Student and exceptional athlete. Russ attended Morrisville College for a time. He also had worked in the family business at Pulaski Roller Drome and Janacek Auction Service. Russ attended Vorea Community Church. He loved talking with anyone about cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed roller skating and wresting and was a wrestling coach at Pulaski High School for a time.

      Russ is survived by his parents Roland & Frieda; siblings; Roxanne & Perry Ferguson, Boylston, Rod Janacek & Kelly Rossa, Sarasota, FL, Renee & Shawn Garvin, Orwell, nieces and nephews, Rachel & Stephen Allen and their children Logan & Shane, Amanda & Joshua Altoran, Emily & Jon Bushie and their children Colton, Teghan & Magnolia, Shannon & Ben Fisher, Mitchell Garvin and Michael Garvin. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and a multitude of cousins.

      Calling Hours will be Saturday June 29, 2019 from 4-7pm at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Funeral Service will be Sunday June 30, 2019 2pm at Vorea Community Church, Orwell, NY. Burial will follow at Boylston- Sandy Creek Cemetery.
