    • Family legend says that Mame's father, John Kennedy, brought her home to his mother when she was an infant and told his mother that they had to raise his daughter. Her Aunt Lizzie, John's sister, really raised her. She is buried in Beverly National Cemetary, in Beverly, New Jersey. This cemetary was used when the Philadelphia National Cemetary became full. Her husband was a veteran of World War I.
