Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 7, 1951 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Military Rites Conducted For Harold L. Stevens - Military rites were conducted for Harold Leroy Stevens, 57, of Orwell, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the Orwell Union church by the Russell Tryon Post of Altmar, of which he was a member. Rev. Kenneth L. Combs officiated with burial in Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Stevens, a member of one of the pioneer families of this section died at his home Tuesday morning. He was born in Orwell, November 28, 1893, a son of Ralph and Frances Towles Stevens and had always made his home in that vicinity. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Bartlett Stevens, his father, one daughter, Ruth Stevens of Black River, and three sons, John of Baldwinsville, and Frederick and Cyrus Stevens of Orwell.
