      Mrs. Briggs, Dies; Funeral Monday - Mrs. Florence Briggs, 63, of 644 Hanover St., died at 4:05 a.m. today at Nanticoke State General Hospital where she had been a medical patient since June 8. She was born at Wanami and resided at Nanticoke 25 years. Mrs. Briggs was a member of Primitive Methodist Church, Nanticoke, and Federation of Blind Association, Wilkes-Barre. Surviving are her husband, Russell; children, Charles Crouse, Fairchance, Pa.; Omor Crouse, Berwick; Raymond Briggs, Muncy; Lloyd and Russell Briggs, Nanticoke and Thomas Briggs, at home, 11 grandchildren, also brothers, and sisters, Charles Crouse, Slocum; Thomas Crouse, Nuangola; Harry Crouse, Nanticoke; Alex Crouse, Reading; George Crouse, Sheatown; Mrs. Ida McCarthy, Edson, N.J. and Mrs. Elizabeth Cunningham, Fairchance. Funeral will be held from Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home, 614 Hanover St., Monday at 10:30 a.m.m Rev. Alvin A. Reese, pastor of P.M. Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Slocum Cemetery. Viewing Saturday 7 to 10 and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
