- Robert F. Will, 77, of Hillsboro Road, Camden, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at University Hospital, Syracuse. He was born September 21, 1925, the son of Robert J. and Pearl Dawley Will. On August 6, 1949, he married Verda House. He was a lifelong resident of Hillsboro in the Town of Camden. He was lime/fertilizer truck driver for GLF/Agway in Camden for 40 years. Bob operated Will's Cackleberry Castle Pumpkin Farm with his wife and family for 42 years. Starting out as a small roadside stand, selling eggs "cackleberrys" and vegetables, it grew into an annual regional attraction every October, with lighted Jack 'o lanterns, a talking pumpkin, hayrides, farm animals, and lots of Halloween characters. Bob had also worked as a volunteer at the University Hospital in Syracuse for the past 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Verda, and four children and their families, Alan Will, Las Vegas, Nev., and his daughters, Lenore and Misty, Camden; Carol and Bill Sullivan and their daughters, Molly and Kelly, Sterling, Mass.; John and Barbara Will, and their sons, David and Daniel, Pleasanton, Calif.; Anne and Al Finkelstein and their son, Foster and daughter, Hannah, Rutland, Mass. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the ICU and ROC of University Hospital and many others for their compassionate help. Bob has donated his body to University Hospital Research Center. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court St., Rome, Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Camden Police Benevolent Association or the Camden Volunteer Fire Department.
