- Obituary of Howard Skellington
Howard Skellington, age 94, resident of Williamstown since 1941, passed away Monday at Iroquois Nursing Home in Syracuse. Howard was born November 16, 1926 on Long Island, the son of Richard and Leona Albro Skellington. He attended Williamstown Schools. Howard served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. He was married to Betty Hallock on November 2, 1951 and she passed away April 9, 2010. Howard was employed by Allied Chemical for 34 years, retiring in 1984. He attended Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church and was a life member of the North American Hunting Club. Howard was an avid gardener and hunter and loved the outdoors.
Surviving are two sons, Gary N. (Donnette) Skellington of Altmar, and James S. Skellington of Syracuse, one daughter Sheila Millen of Constantia, one brother Raymond Skellington of East Syracuse, 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Howard was predeceased by one son, Howard J. Skellington.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, December 12th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial with military honors in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the funeral.
