Mary A. Carr, 64, formerly of 222 State St., died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sherwood (Linda) Zehr, 30090 Route 3, Black River, where she was under the care of Ellen Mayhew, public health worker.
Born Aug. 18, 1933, in Cicero, daughter of Floyd and Alice Mills Vickery, she attended area schools.
She married Clair Robert Smith in Pennellville, March 22, 1952. Mr. Smith, a construction worker, died Jan. 28, 1968.
She married William Carr in Watertown, Sept. 27, 1968. The couple moved to Texas and lived there until Mr. Carr died July 29, 1982. Following his death, Mrs. Carr returned to the area and worked at Watertown Linen Co.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald Smith, Natural Bridge, and Kevin Smith, Watertown; four daughters, Mrs. Zehr, Mrs. Donald (Wannetta) Monaghan, West Carthage, Mrs. Steven (Lori) Hutchinson, Waynesville, Mo., and Sandra Omana, Watertown; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Vickery, Central Square; three sisters, Lois Pyzdrowski and Margaret Crump, both of Central Square, and Edwina Leary, Phoenix, and several nieces and nephews.
Two sons, Robert and Harold, and a daughter, Roberta, died.
The funeral was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with the Rev. Anthony P. Niger II, pastor of Calvary Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Natural Bridge.
