Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 22, 1915 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Martha Dow Zufelt - After two years of suffering with cancer, Mrs. Martha Dow Zufelt, wife of Benjamin Zufelt, died Tuesday evening, at the home on the Frank Woods farm in the south part of the village. Mrs. Zufelt was born in the house on Furnace Street next to the Ontario Iron Works, forty-eight years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Dow who were among the early residents of this village. In her early life she attended the Pulaski Academy and later was employed in the Pulaski Democrat office. About twenty-five years ago she married Benjamin Zufelt who with two sons, Oliver and Howard, survive. Her funeral was held from the home Friday, at one o'clock, Rev. H. A. Lawrence of the Congregational church officiating. The funeral was largely attended by friends and neighbors. Mr. Mrs. Herman Cronk, Mr. Bert Zufelt, Mrs. Ann Nellis, Mrs. Mary Farnham, of Ellisburg; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shaul, Mr. G. C. Widrig, Sandy Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Zufelt, Lacona, were among the out-of-town friends.
