      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, October 5, 1943 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Following an illness of three years, during which he was confined to his home for the last five months, Ernest A. Whitney, 70, died Monday afternoon. Mr. Whitney was born in Pulaski November 13, 1872, son of Henry and Martha Smith Whitney. He spent the early part of his life in this vicinity, later going to New York City. Mr. Whitney returned to Pulaski 14 years ago to engage in farming in the Lake street road, west of Pulaski. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald King, Oneida; and one brother, Frederick G. Whitney, Pulaski. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. W. A. Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Willis cemetery.
