Mr. Whitney had been in failing health for the past five years and had been a patient in the North Park Nursing Home before entering the Evergreen Home (his former family home) in April 1956.

His only close survivor is his wife, Mrs. Honore Haylock Greene Whitney, whom he married in Albany on June 18, 1913, who is a patient at the Evergreen Home. There are also several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Whitney was born in Pulaski March 19, 1868, the son of

Following the closing of both the Pulaski National Bank and the Peoples National Bank, Mr. Whitney was appointed attorney for the receiver of both banks.

He was at one time attorney for the Standard Oil Co., the New York Central and the Salmon River Power Co., in this locality. He was village attorney from 1902-1906 and village clerk 1898, 1899 and also served on the Pulaski Water Commission resigning in 1935.
