Newspaper Obituary - Monday, October 22, 1951 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Martin C. Sampson, 73, retired New York Central train dispatcher, died Sunday morning at his home, 150 East Fifth street. Born in Mexico, he had been employed by the railroad in Watertown and later in Oswego. He retired 15 years ago. He was a member of the First Methodist church and of Frontier Lodge, 422, F. & A.M., and the Train Masters Association. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lillie Pond Sampson; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Rightmire and Mrs. John Weigelt, Oswego; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Albert Sampson, Watertown. Funeral will be held at the Scoville funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Allan T. Dodge, officiating. Burial will be in Willis cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
