    • Newspaper Obituary - March 19, 1970 Sandy Creek News - Gilbert Stewart, native dies at 58 - Gilbert L. Stewart, 58, of Otisco died at home March 5, 1970. A native of Sandy Creek, he was the fourth of 13 children of the late Milton and Myrtle Kinsman Stewart and lived in the Otisco area for 17 years, where he was a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stella Stewart; four daughters, Miss Beverly Stewart, Mrs. Caroline Davies, Miss Paula Stewart, and Mrs. Pamela Scuda; four sons, Golrdon, Gilbert Jr both of Marathon, and Mitchell and Michael at home; eight brothers, James, Harold, Bert, Fred, Cyrus, Harwood, George, and Dexter Stewart all of Sandy Creek; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Green, Mrs. Eva Sampson, Mrs. Eliza Weaver and Mrs. Bertha Moyer all of Sandy Creek; several grandchildran and nieces. Services were held at Ballweg-Lundsford Funeral Home, Rev. Warren Odon officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery in the spring.
