      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 10, 1979 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Orwell Man, 70, Expires - Robert L. Finster, 70, Orwell, died Monday, January 1, 1979, in Mercy Hospital, Watertown. He was born in Orwell January 25, 1908, a son of Jasper and Lulu Marsh Finster, and married Doris Latremore March 25, 1936, at Sandy Pond, the Rev. Frank J. Brown of Richland, officiating. Mr. Finster was a farmer in Orwell until 1947, then was an employee for the Oswego County Highway, Department until he retired in 1970. He was a member of the Orwell Union Church and was a life member of the Orwell fire Department. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Rose Marie) Graham, Orwell; six grandchildren, and a brother, Clifton, Orwell. A son, Robert, died January 11, 1971. A grandson, David Robert Finster, died July 4, 1969, at the age of 2. The funeral was held Wednesday in the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Stanley Tanner, pastor of the Orwell Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
