      Newspaper Obituary - (Source Unknown) - Bertha A. Thompson, 55, of 7226 Port St., Pulaski died Thursday, March 27, 1986 at University Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Thompson was born in Sandy Creek. Her first husband, Frederick Moyer, died in 1967. Surviving are her husband, Frederick, three sons, Louis F. Moyer of Altmar, Dean P. Moyer of Sandy Pond and Gary D. Moyer of Pulaski; four daughters, Penny Cummins of Watertown, Darla Moyer of Sandy Creek, and Glorie and Mandie Moyer, both of Pulaski; three brothers, Dexter of Pulaski, and James and Harold Stewart, both of Sandy Pond; a sister, Eva Sampson of Ellisburg; and 14 grandchildren. Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wesley Hunting offficiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. Friends called from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 7389 Park Street.

      Newspaper Obituary - April 7, 1986 Pulaski Democrat - Sincere Sympathy to the family of Mrs. Bertha Moyer Thompson who died Thursday at University Hospital, Syracuse, after an illness of five years. She is survived by her husband, Fred Thompson, three sons, Louis of Altmar, Dean of Sandy Pond; Gary of Pulaski, four daughters, Penny Cummins of Watertown, Darla Moyer of Sandy Creek, Glorie and Mandie of Pulaski; three brothers Dexter of Pulaski, Jim and Harold Stewart of Sandy Pond; a sister Eva Sampson of Ellisburg and 14 grandchildren. Services were held Saturday with burial in Richland Cemetery. Bertha was a treasured friend to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our sincerest condolences to Fred and all the members of the Moyer family.
