Notes - Jason "Darrick" Conger December 14, 2020 Jason "Darrick" Conger, age 23, of Bayou La Batre, Alabama, died on December 14, 2020, as the result of a car accident, in Sicily, Italy. Darrick was born on August 16, 1997, in Mobile, Alabama, to Diane Trest and Jason J. Conger. He graduated from Alma Bryant high school, in Bayou La Batre, Alabama in 2015. He was a member of ROTC in high school and joined the U.S. Navy upon graduation. He served aboard the USS America, an amphibious assault ship, for 3 years, before being assigned to Naval Air Station Sigonella, in Sicily, Italy. Darrick was an Alabama football fan (Roll Tide) and loved hunting and fishing with his father. He also enjoyed beating his grandmother at cards and board games. Survivors include his mother Diane Trest and his father Jason J. Conger (Tina Storey) of Bayou La Batre, Alabama, his grandmother, Judy Conger of Pulaski, NY, several aunts, uncles and cousins, countless friends and Navy comrades.
