Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 28, 1917 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Orwell - Mrs. Emma Cable, relict of the late William Cable, died in Rome Sunday morning, June 24, aged 69 years. Mrs. Cable was a resident of Orwell many years and was always active in the work of the church, W.C.T.U. and W.R.C. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Anna Bartlett and two grandchildren, of Rome, one brother, W. D. Streeter of Richland and one sister, Mrs. Charles Cable of Williamstown. Funeral services were held in Rome Tuesday forenoon and the remains brought to Evergreen cemetery for burial beside her husband. Friends from out of town who were here for the burial were Mrs. Cyrus Bartlett and son Earl, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Cable and family of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cable of Williamstown, W. D. Streeter, Alfred Ackley, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Jewell of Richland.
