Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 23, 1917 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Emily Dunbar - Emily, wife of Henry Dunbar, died suddenly at her home in Richland Monday evening. She was a sufferer from organic heart trouble and was stricken while in the automobile of her son, Dr. A. G. Dunbar. She had asked her son to take her to the home of her mother, Mrs. Huldah Stevens in Boylston and about seven o'clock while on her way and near the village of Orwell Mrs. Dunbar complained of illness. Her son gave her some medicine, and then turned the car around and sped back to Richland. Dr. Dunbar assisted his mother from the machine and went inside the house gave her more medicine. He also called Dr. J. L. More of Pulaski. When Dr. More arrived about 8:30 o'clock, Mrs. Dunbar was dead, having passed away ten minutes earlier. Coroner Leroy F. Hollis of Lacona was immediately notified and after learning the facts decided it inquest unnecessary. In his report, filed in the County Clerk's office today, Dr. Hollis gives heart disease as the cause of death. Mrs. Dunbar, who was most highly esteemed spent most of her life in Boylston moving to Richland a year ago. She is survived to her husband, three sons, Frank of Sandy Creek, Dr. A. G. Dunbar of Richland, Leon of Orwell and one daughter, Mrs. Nicholas Shafty of Great Bend as well as by three brothers, Rufus and Allen Stevens of Orwell and William Stevens of Boylston and two sisters, Mrs. Parker Cummins and Mrs. Cyrus Stowell of Boylston. The funeral was held at Richland at 1 o'clock Thursday. Burial in Orwell. -Sandy Creek News.
