- Margaret Streeter Weston - April 15, 1857 - January 25, 1941. Daughter of Henry William and Malvina Amanda Pearsons Streeter. Wife of Zeph Gonyo (married after 1880; divorced about 1888) & James L. Weston (married August 5, 1893 at Massena, St. Lawrence County, New York.) [Note: Although Margaret’s name appears on the stone with her husband, James Weston, according to her obituary she may be buried in Garrison Cemetery at Pitcairn, St. Lawrence County, New York, with her parents.] Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 30, 1941 Black River Democrat - Black River, New York - Harrisville - Death of Mrs. Margaret Weston - Mrs. Margaret Weston, 84, died at the home of her brother Loomis Streeter, near Geer’s Corners on Saturday morning, Death was due to heart trouble and old age. Mrs. Weston was born in Harrisville, April 15, 1857, the daughter of Henry and Vina Streeter. She was one of seven children. She married Zeff Gonio [sic] and divorced him about 52 years ago. About 50 years ago she married James Weston, well known lumber jobber of the north country, who died five years ago. Mrs. Weston accompanied her husband on his lumber jobs, running the camp. Mrs. Weston sold her home here on Maple Street after her husband’s death and lived with a niece, Mrs. Frank Richmire, near Natural Bridge, for about three years. Two months ago she moved to the home of her brother, Mr. Streeter. She had been in poor health for about three years and for the past two months seriously ill. She had been under the care of Dr. A. L. Leatherland, of Harrisville. Mrs. Weston is survived by a brother, Loomis Streeter; one sister, Mrs. Theodore Saber; five nieces, Mrs. Vina Strong of Harrisville, Mrs. Edith Goodrow of Newton Falls, Mrs. Frank Richmire of Natural Bridge, Mrs. Sadie Osborne of Virginia, and Mrs. Mattie Dennishi of Ogdensburg; five nephews, Leo, Bryan and Floyd Streeter, of Harrisville; William Streeter, of Cranberry Lake, and Roy Streeter, of Virginia; also by several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ at 2 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. W. C. Chapman, pastor, officiating. The body was placed in the Harrisville vault and will be interred in the Garrison Cemetery in the spring.
