Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 12, 1972 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Robert E. Finster, Age 34, Succumbs - Robert E. Finster, 34 of Richland died January 8, 1972 in Rome Hospital, where he had been a patient for two months. Mr. Finster was employed by the Oswego County Highway Department. He was born April 12, 1937 the son of Robert and Dora Lattimore Finster. He attended Sandy Creek Central School. On June 27, 1959 he married Sally Ann Hutchinson, at Orwell Union Church. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Eugene Charles, 6 and John James, one month; a daughter, Sarah Marie, 8; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Finster, and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Rose Marie) Graham, Orwell. A son, David Robert, died July 4, 1969 at the age of two years. The funeral was held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home in Pulaski, the Rev. Ivan Greenfield, pastor of Orwell Union Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Richland cemetery.
