      Betty A. Thompson, 71, of Lake St., Sandy Creek and widow of Charles A. Thompson, passed away Wednesday morning, March 18th.The funeral will be 3 pm Saturday, March 21st at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will be Saturday from 1 pm ? 3 pm prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be later in the spring in Ellisburg Cemetery.Betty was born December 31, 1943 in the Town of Ellisburg, a daughter to Andrew and Georgia McGrath. She graduated from Adams High School. Betty was a nutritionist for the senior nutrition program through Oswego County Opportunities at the Sandy Creek location for many years. She later worked for the Big M. Supermarket in Sandy Creek in the deli department for three years until retiring.Betty married Charles A. Thompson July 25, 1963 in Elkton, MD. Mr. Thompson, a former Nestle Co. employee, passed away December 26, 2000.Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family, friends and her family?s pet dogs.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Jennifer Thompson, Pennellville; a daughter and son-in-law Teresa and George White, Sandy Creek; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Karen McGrath, Adams; many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by four brothers, Kenneth, Carl, Clark and Edward McGrath, and two sisters, June House and Charlotte Gregory.On line condolences may be made at www.carpenterstoodley.com
