    • Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, June 2, 1984 Oswego Palladium - Oswego New York - Clarence A. Henderson - Central Square - Clarence A. Henderson, 97, of Central Square, died Friday morning in St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. A native of Parish, he lived in the Central Square area for over 60 years. He was an Army veteran of World War I, serving in France for two years. He was a member of both the Fuller Taylor American Legion Post 915 Central Square and Fort Brewerton Masonic Lodge 256 F&AM for over 50 years. He was employed by New York Central Railroad in the bridge and building department for 15 years. In 1929, he organized and managed two large apiaries(Bee Keeper) in Central New York and Conway, S.C. until 1972, when he retired to spend his winters in South Carolina and his summers in Central New York. Surviving are his wife, the former Rosa Akins; an adopted daughter, Rebecca Akins of Fort Washington; a brother, Gordon Henderson of Clay; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Nurse and Mrs. Irene Cook, both of Parish; and several nieces and nephews. Military services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Watson Funeral Home Inc. with burial in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Dugway. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 206 S. Main St. The Fort Brewerton Lodge 256 F&AM will have Masonic services.
