      Obituary of Norma H. Moonan

      Norma H. Moonan, age 88, resident of Pulaski passed away Monday at her home. Norma was born August 5, 1932 in West Derby, near Liverpool, England, the daughter of Harold and Florence Moneypenny Cain. She graduated from secondary school in England. Norma was married to Kenneth E. Moonan on November 6, 1953 and he passed away April 29, 1978. She and her husband operated Moonan’s Shoe Store for 16 years from 1961 until 1977. Norma also worked for several local area retail stores: the Pulaski Department Store, Harris Department Store, Fat Nancy’s Tackle Shop, and Lady Di’s Bridal. Norma was a member of several bowling leagues in Pulaski and ladies’ leagues at the Elm’s Golf Course. She also pitched horseshoes at NEOS County Horseshoes in Pulaski. Norma was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Cain, formerly of England and Australia.

      Surviving are two daughters, Kelly Allport of Pulaski, Lesley (Philip) Kline of Sandy Creek, two sons, Douglas (Renee) Moonan of Jefferson Park and Kenneth Moonan, Jr. of Pulaski, grandchildren, Julianna Isgar, Alex Allport, Ian Allport, Taylor Kline, Garrett Kline, Jordan Kline, Shawn Moonan, Riley Moonan, McKenna Moonan, and great- grandchildren, Welles, Emyrs, Davis, Vivian, Jayden, Gianna, Brock, Grayson and Isla.

      A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, February 21st at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street Pulaski with a spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
