      August 11, 1925 - July 21, 2017

      Betty T. Mangano, 91, of Minetto, passed away unexpectedly at home July 21, 2017.

      Born in Minetto, she was the daughter of the late Vernard George and Mildred (Brown) Baldwin.

      She worked for Columbia Mills, Sears & Robucks and once married, became a homemaker.

      Betty was a devoted and active member of her church. She was a greeter who loved to give hugs, and also mailed out prayer cards to the sick. She was a past assistant Girl Scout Leader to Troop 10 of Minetto, enjoyed puzzles, her cat Muffy, and loved spending time with her family.

      Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Mangano, and her sisters, Marjorie Mack and Doris Matzke.

      Betty is survived by her daughters, Judy (Robert) Young of Fulton, Teresa “Terry” (Thomas “Bodie”) Schaffer of Oswego, and Catherine (Gary) Hubbard of Hannibal; her sons, James Mangano of Fulton and Paul (Barbara) Mangano of GA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

      Calling hours will be held 4-7 pm, Monday, July 24 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

      Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, July 25, at the Minetto United Methodist Church.

      Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.

      The family would like to extend special thanks to her loving caregivers.
