    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday, June 23, 1969 Daily Press - Mrs. Norma Ossont - Rome - Mrs. Norma T. Ossont, 61, of 104 Rose Lane, widow of Cecil L. Ossont, died yesterday in Rome Hospital. She was born in Knoxboro, the daughter of Robert and Vera Spaulding Thayer. She attended Oriskany Falls schools. She was married to Mr. Ossont in 1926. He died in 1967. For several years Mrs. Ossont had been an occupational therapist at Marcy State Hospital. She came to Rome a year ago from Barneveld. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rome; Nappa Chapter, OES and Rebekah Lodge in Barnevel, and Singing Hills Senior Citizens Club, Hinckley. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Edna) Skow, Minneapolis, Minn., a son, Robert L. Ossont, Rome, and a sister, Mrs. Jack Mildred Basenfielder, Milford, Del. The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the Strong Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prospect Memorial Cemeter. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight.
