Michael Francis Glenn Albanese
Clockville, NY
Michael Francis Glenn Albanese, 38 of Clockville, NY died on May 19, 2020. Michael was born April 1, 1982 in Oneida, NY. Raised in the Taberg and Canastota areas, he attended Camden and Canastota Schools. Together with his fiancée Megan they operated The Clover, in Rome, NY.
He is survived by his fiancée Megan Polmatier, their daughter Aurora Albanese, a stepson Brody VanLuvanee, and a son, Luca Albanese of Sherrill. His mother and step-father, Sheryl and Jesse Dickenson; Oneida; his father Richard Albanese, New London, maternal grandfather Glenn Egelston, Canastota. Three sisters, Adja (Scott) Williams, Redfield; Holly Dukett, Camden; Josie Dukett, Oneida; Two brothers, Dalton Albanese, New London; Richard Otts, Canastota, a step sister Chelsea Dickenson, Florida; and a special cousin whom he loved like a brother; Adam (Julie) Tucker of Irondequoit. He will also be sadly missed by his former step mother Melinda Perry of Camden and his step brothers and sisters, Terry Ross, Katrina Ross, Josh Ross, and Destinee Ross. His future in-laws, Mark and Candace Polmatier, Holland Patent, and relatives Jennifer and Tim Dayhuff. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents Frank & Verna Albanese, Shirley Steadman, and Mary Egelston. Michael was especially close to his Grandma Verna whom he lived with for a time.
Michael enjoyed, music, dancing, making people laugh, and his knife collection. He especially loved cooking and would frequently tell people that he made a meal for himself, but felt best giving it to others to enjoy. He loved working at The Clover and visiting with the customers that would come in.
Arrangements will be under the direction of Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. in Holland Patent. Services will be private and in keeping with Michael’s wishes his ashes will be planted where a beautiful tree will grow as a reminder that love and life continue on in those we leave behind.
“I know your life, on earth was troubled, and only you could know the pain. You weren't afraid to face the devil; you were no stranger to the rain.” Those who knew Michael best knew that life wasn’t always easy for him; please consider honoring his memory by telling the people around you that they are loved, and that their struggles don’t define them.
