    • Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, April 11, 1908 Rome Daily Sentinel - Augusta - Death of Mrs. Robert Thayer, an Esteemed Young Woman. - Knoxboro, April 11 - Mrs. Vera Spaulding Thayer, wife of Robert Thayer of this village, died Thursday evening at 9 o'clock after a week's illness. She was in her 26th year. Mrs. Thayer was taken suddenly ill with pneumonia after the birth of a daughter on Saturday last. Her early death brings sorrow to many hearts, for she was a good woman, loved and admired by all for her kindly dispoistion and Christian character. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of this place and also of the Knoxboro Grange. She leaves two small children, her husband, her mother, who lives in New Jersey, and one sister, Mrs.Eugene Horr of Central Square. The funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church.
