Harley Scribner, 92, of 6253 18th St. N., St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Oneida Castle, died Thursday. He was born in Vernon. He was a machinist for the former National Casket Co. He was a member of Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church, Sherrill-Sconondoa Masonic Lodge 814, Vernon, and the Oneida Castle Fire Department. His first wife, Lillian, died in 1978.
Survivors: His wife of 17 years, Adelaide; a daughter, Diane Hawthorne of Verona; a son, Jerry of Verona; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services: 3 p.m. Monday at Malecki Funeral Home. Burial, Glenwood Cemetery. Calling hour, 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 23 Front St., Vernon.
