A native of Vernon, Mrs. Suits lived many years in Wampsville before moving to Canastota five years ago. Her husband, Jay, died June 13. Mrs. Suits was a former member of Durhamville Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Jay P. Jr. of Canastota; a brother, Harley Scribner of Oneida Castle; two sisters, Corena Brown of Canastota and Mildred Zimmerman of Oneida; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Oneida, the Rev. Roger Bates officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Higginsville. Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 260 Main St.
