Notes - Theresa “Terry” Esther Sharp, 85, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Ardmore. A celebration of life will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest. Interment to follow at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
Terry was born to John Williams and Esther (Thurman) Williams at Vernon, N.Y., on May 31, 1930. She married David Sharp on Jan. 24, 1950, at Buckroe Beach, Va. Terry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore and volunteered with the Friendly Neighbors, the Clothes Closet, and making Christmas baskets for shut-ins. She enjoyed gardening, painting and sewing. Terry lived her life to please and care for everyone else. Her lifetime goal was for peace and happiness for all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Sharp; and son, Donald Sharp.
Terry is survived by her children: David Sharp and wife, Ann, John Sharp, Andrea Sharp, Connie Pelton and husband, Phillip, and James Sharp and wife, Marina; 14 grandchildren and 14 great--grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Moon.
