ALBERT BAKER, 79, dies in hospital
Vernon - Albert W. Baker, 79, Peterboro St., died last night in a Utica hospital.
He was born in Augusta Center, May 8, 1882, the son of Michael and Anna Burkhart Baker. He married Susie M. Pierce in 19096 at the Knoxboro Methodist Church. Mrs. Baker died in 1960.
Mr. Baker received his education in Knoxboro schools. He had been a resident of Vernon for 40 years. He was a painter and carpenter by trade, and was also a retired volunteer fireman.
Surviving are a son, Charles C. Baker, Knoxboro; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at the Alger Funeral Home, Vernon, on Friday at 2 p.m., with Dr. Walter E. Minto, pastor of the Vernon Baptist Church officiating.
Friends are invited and may call at the funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vernon.
