  Newspaper Obituary - December 4, 1947 MidYork Weekly - Hamilton, New York - Final Rites for Abbie Thurston - South Hamilton - Final rites for Abbie Thurston, 75, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irene Cummings, here Sunday night, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 from the Henry W. Beecher Funeral Home, Hamilton, with the Reverend Paul F. Swarthout, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Hamilton, officiating. Burial was in the Erieville Cemetery. She was born May 26, 1872 in Georgetown, daughter of Eugene and Ruth Alling Stewart. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Cummings, Mrs. Ruby O'Donnell, Erieville; Mrs. Emma Highland, Munnsville, and Mrs. Louis WIlliams, Hamilton; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husban was Louis Thurston, who passed away February 1940.
