    • Trumbull/Turnbull file in Norwich, NY says that George was born in North Norwich, Chenango County, New York. His military record indicates birth in Norwich, NY. His death record in Amboy states he was born in England. The 1860 census says he was born in Massachusetts.
      George was in the 3rd light artillery during the Civil War. He enlisted from Clay, Onondaga County, New York on February 9, 1864. He is described by his military records as being blue eyed, brown hair and 5' 7" and a half. George served along with sons George Jr. and DeWitt.
      in 1870 George is back in North Norwich, Chenango County. He lists his occupation as a shingle maker, and is living near George Jr. He is not found in 1875, 1880 or 1892 census. In 1895 he dies in Amboy, Oswego County, New York.
      Shelly Heal has record of George moving to Saginaw County Michigan at some point, and marrying there in 1888. Many Trumbles moved to this area.
