    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, October 27, 1869 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Died - In South Richland, October 19th, Joseph Hutchins, aged 70 years, 6 months and 13 days. Mr. Hutchins came to Onondaga County at the age of 19, where he professed faith in Christ when near 30 years old. From thence he removed to Fulton, Oswego County, and then to the town of Mexico, and then in the spring of 1848 to Holmesville, where for over 21 years he has resided within the bounds of the Baptist Church at that place, of which he, with his wife, four sons and one daughter, were members. He has suffered with a severe cough for the past six years, which, combined with catarrh, led to consumption, which terminated his sufferings.
