    • Newspaper Obituary - August 8, 1993 Star-Ledger - Newark, New Jersey - Dr. W. Reilly Sr., dentist in Vailsburg - Dr. Walter F. Reilly, Sr., 86, of Short Hills, retired as a dentist, died yesterday in his home. A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Rose of Lima Church, Short Hills, after the funeral from the Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave., Summit. 'Dr. Reilly maintained a dental practice in Newark's Vailsburg section for 41 years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of the Essex County Dental Association and the New Jersey Dental Association. 'He was a 3d Degree member of Knights of Columbus of St. Rose of Lima Church. 'A 1927 graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, Dr. Reilly received his degree in dentistry four years later from the New York University School of Dentistry. 'He served in the Coast Guard during World War II from 1943 to 1946. 'Born in Newark, he moved to Short Hills 33 years ago. 'Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Deyo; a son, Walter F. Jr., and five grandchildren.
