- Online Obituary - DUNCAN, DOUGLAS E., 51, passed away June 12, 2003, in Orlando, FL. Born in Georgetown, D.C. in 1952, Doug's early career as a disc jockey for radio station WGTB and reading comic strips to the blind for The Washington Ear brought him infinite pleasure. Doug's richest treasures were his beautiful children and good friends that came and stayed a while; friends whose love and loyalty can never be measured. A longtime resident of Orlando, he will truly be missed. Doug is survived by his best friend and wife of 24 years, Toni M. Duncan, his children, Jared Duncan, 15, of Orlando, and Heather Pick, 31, of Westminster, MD; grandchild Reagan Pick; Mother and Stepfather, Rosemary & Carl Copman of Wheaton, MD; Stepmother, Darlene Dunkinson, Naples, FL; Brothers Vincent Copman of Wheaton, MD and Bill Shaw, Naples, FL; Sisters Terri Copman and Camille Miller of Wheaton, MD, and Debbie Leiter, Naples, FL. Much to Doug's sadness he was predeceased by his Father Rodney Dunkinson who passed away in July of 1999. A memorial service for Doug will be held on July 12, 2003 at 11AM at Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church in Olney, MD. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Boy Scouts of America.
