She was born March 11, 1921, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Albert J. and Emma(Dodge) Cote, and had lived in Edinburg before moving to Palmyra in 1969. Survivors include her husband, Paul Hughes; sons, Emmett of Alliance, David of Akron, and Russell of Palmyra; daughters, Mary Hughes of Atwater and Carol Hughes of Palmyra; and grandson, William P. Hughes. She was preceeded in death by daughter, Barbara Ann Hughes, in 1949. Friends will be received from 12 noon until 1 p.m. service Monday at the Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Carl Holm. Interment will be at Edinburg Cemetery. Flowers may be sent, or contributions may be made in her name to the Portage County Mobile Meals.
