- STEWART - Karen Lee Stewart, 56, of Lewisville, TX passed away unexpectedly at Medical City Lewisville on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Karen was born on April 28, 1964 in Dallas, TX to Iven M. Kerley and Shirley Rose. Karen graduated from Midlothian High School, attended Texas Tech shortly after, and later received her business degree from SUNY. Karen was a dedicated worker and enjoyed working alongside her many co-workers at Verizon for 23 years. Karen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud “Grammee” to her grandson. Family meant everything to her and spent every moment she could making memories with those she loved. Karen loved family gatherings and celebrating holidays in the largest way possible, while ensuring everyone around her was having the best time. Karen is survived by her loving husband, Bryan, of 19 years; mother, Shirley Rose of Poolville, TX; father and wife, Iven and Maria Kerley of Midlothian, TX; daughter, Kimberlee Goodson and grandson, Nolan Preston of Anna, TX; sister, Cheryl Hogarty of Poolville, TX; sister, Sherry Kerley of Poolville, TX; sister, Mary Jones of Midlothian, TX; sister, Patricia Duncan of Midlothian, TX; sister, Rhonda Schaller of DeSoto, TX; brother, Leslie Davis of Midlothian, TX; along with many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Davis. Karen wore an infectious smile and never met a stranger. Friends and co-workers remember Karen by her kind heart, outgoing personality, and giving nature. Karen enjoyed helping others and gave herself fully to those that needed her. Full of life and adventure, there was never a dull moment in her presence. Karen will be missed dearly by those that knew and loved her.
