    • Edison's Obituary

      Edison Max Klebs, age 60, died Friday evening, May 7, 2021 at his home. Born April 23, 1961 in Jefferson County, NY he was a son of the late Charles H. and Elsie Reynolds Klebs. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Klebs. Edison was a member of the Moose Lodge in Smithfield and of TAP - Pool Amateur Tour. Edison was a hard worker all his life. He started working on his family farm at a young age. He later went on to work in construction, night shift with PGI, before starting his own business, Klebs Porta John, which he owned and operated for over 20 years. When he was not working, you could find him shooting pool and spending time with his family and close friends.

      Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday just prior to the service.

      Surviving are his wife, Lori Klebs; sons, Joshua Slack and Timothy Slack all of the home; daughter, Latricia Slack of Smithfield; brothers, Charlie Klebs of Four Oaks, Doug Klebs of KY, and Richard “Dick” Klebs of NY; sisters, Pam Moore of MI and Elaine Presley of NY; and granddaughter, Ty’Anna Atkins.
