    • Newspaper Obituary - Friday, August 2, 1968 Wilkes-Barre Record - Eugene McCabe - Eugene McCabe, 812 Western Avenue, Lynn, Mass., a former resident of the Miners Mill section of Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday night in the Lawrence Quigley Veterans Hospital, Chelsea, Mass., where he was admitted seven weeks ago. Born and reared in the Miners Mills section, he was a veteran of World War 2 and the Korean Conflict. While living here, Mr. McCabe worked in the local mines and also for the Goeringer Construction Company. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrement Church, Miners Mills, while residing in that section of the city. Surviving are his wife, the former, Alice Clemons of East End and Parsons sections; sons, Eugene, Jr., and Jack, both at home; William, Walla, Walla, Washington; daughters Kathy, at home, Mrs. John Thomas Costello, Newark, Del.; sisters, Mrs. Anna McCoy, and Mrs. Joseph Hanichar, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Harold Lynn, Mass., 17 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at Lynn, Mass., Monday morning. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church with interment also in Lynn.
