Notes - Wilma's Obituary - AIKEN, SC - WILMA JEAN CHARLES, 78, beloved wife of Donald Edward Charles, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her residence. A native of Hamilton, NY, Wilma was a daughter of the late Darwin and Marian Sykes Lamb. She was an LPN in Oswego, NY prior to moving to Coudersport, PA where she worked as office manager for Adelphia Communication Corporation. Wilma lived in Aiken since 2008 and was an avid quilter. She retired from AllStar Tents and Rentals. She was member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Surviving in addition to her husband Donald are four children, Robin Steel (Brad), Spring, TX, Randy R. Charles (Robin), Kernersville, NC, Susan Gerstenberger (Paul), Aiken, George Stewart (Suzette), Glenville, NY; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private funeral service will be held in the chapel of Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Erbskorn officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
