- Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 1, 1887 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - At 12 p.m. November 26th at her home on Delano Street, Frances Amelia Frary, wife of Reuben Bass, Esq. Mrs. Bass, born December 18th, 1846, had spent her whole life in this vicinity, and is too well known to need an extended biographical notice. She was an earnest Christian, and this, added to a naturally kind and helpful disposition made her a friend of all who were needy, and greatly endeared her to all who knew her. Her life was emphatically "full of good work", and none sought her sympathy and aid in vain. She was a member of the Baptist Church in this village. Her illness, which lasted but four days, was contracted while ministering to those who were in trouble, and she literally fell in the discharge of a recognized duty. Her husband and her son, her mother, Mrs. George Gurley, and her brother, Adolphus Frary, in their deep affliction receive the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends who mourn only the loss than they do this sudden bereavement. The burial services and interment took place on Sunday afternoon, Rev. D. D. Owen officiating.
